Marathon Tours is pleased to offer special packages for the 10th anniversary 2009 Great Wall Marathon,
Half-Marathon, 10K and 5K on May 16. There is an event for participation by everyone.
This adds another exotic run in our growing list of international events. It is a good
one for anyone looking to join the 7 Continents Club. This event has to be considered one of the toughest yet most picturesque marathons in the world. Run in China's Tianjin province, it includes over 6km run on the Great Wall and over 3,700 steps which range in height from several inches to almost knee-high. The course also takes in beautiful farmland and tiny, picturesque villages. All races offer the opportunity to run on the Great Wall. As a vacation destination, few places on earth can offer such a fascinating array of cultures, history and architectural wonders. For those with time constraints, we offer a short 6 night trip in Beijing only. New this year, for those who don't have the time for the 3 city tour, we offer a 2 night pre Beijing trip to Xian to see the world famous Terra Cotta warriors. Our Deluxe tour includes Xian and Shanghai plus a cruise on the Yangtze River. Each trip will include lots of sight-seeing, shopping, special meals, and more opportunities to explore on your own. We advise the latter trip to broaden your view of ancient as well as modern China.
