Rates: Land Prices may change due to currency fluctuations or changes in the tax.
Reservations and Payments: A completed tour application together with an initial non-refundable deposit of $500.00 per person. Final payment is due before April 1, 2015.
Cancellations: The initial deposit of $500 for the Lewa and Masai Mara package is non-refundable if canceled at any time. If travelling to Rwanda or Uganda for Gorilla Trekking, the initial deposit is non-refundable once the pre-or post-trip is confirmed. Once confirmed gorilla park permits are non-refundable. No refund applies to cancellations after April 1, 2015.
Not included in price: Visa entry to Kenya. Race entry fee of $150.00 and fundraising of $1,500.00 minimum per entrant. Local guides in Africa. Marathon Tours staff on tour. All items not specifically listed under tour features.
Insurance: Insurance: Trip cancellation, baggage, health and accident insurance is available on request for residents of the U.S. and is highly recommended to all participants. Residents from outside the U.S. must check within your country for availability of insurance coverage. All passengers must produce a certificate of health insurance.
Responsibility: These tours are operated by Marathon Tours, Inc. of Boston, MA who acts only as an agent for the passenger to the companies offering such services and assumes no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity caused by any reason whatsoever by any party offering such services. The right is reserved to cancel the tour prior to departure with a full refund made as full settlement to the passenger. Marathon Tours, Inc. may make any changes or alterations in the itinerary as it deems necessary for the proper handling of the tour and may refuse any person as a member of the tour. This contract will be governed by the laws of the State of Masschusetts. The sole responsibility of any airline used is limited to that set out in the passenger contract evidenced by the ticket. The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time that the passengers are not on board their aircraft.
