The readers of Conde Nast Traveler Magazine selected Florence as Europe's most popular city for visitors in 2007. The city is considered Italy's cultural center for art and history. The Florence Marathon on November 28 is just one more reason to visit the Tuscany Region.
In 2009, over 8,000 runners entered this event with 38% from outside Italy which establishes Florence as Italy's 2nd largest marathon with only Rome exceeding it in popularity.
