Itinerary - Dublin

2017 itinerary


October 25 Depart from your home city on your overnight flight to Dublin, Ireland. 
October 26 Arrive Dublin and transfer on your own to the Conrad Hotel.  Enjoy a welcome beverage to meet the Marathon Tours staff and other travelers at the Conrad Hotel. 
October 27 Irish breakfast is served each morning at your hotel. This morning we will depart for the city tour of Dublin and stop at the race expo. The rest of the day is free to explore the city.
October 28 Free day to explore Dublin.  Optional pre-paid tours today include the Guinness Storehouse tour or the Malahide Castle & North Dublin Coastal Tour.  Pre-Race dinner this evening at the hotel.
October 29 RACE DAY!!  Our hotel is within a short walk to the race start and finish line.  A post-race celebration will be held at the Conrad Hotel!  Then the celebration continues at the optional Merry Ploughboy Dinner Show (a must do in Dublin)!
October 30
Today we start the journey cross country!! Morning coach departure for a chauffeured ride through the Irish countryside to Galway. We will stop along the way to visit the ruins of Clonmacnoise. Lunch is on your own.  A welcome dinner is awaiting after check-in at the Hotel Meyrick in Galway City.  
If you booked the four-night package and are leaving today we wish you a safe journey homeward!
October 31 Morning departure on our motor coach for a full-day loop of the Connamara region with a visit to the famous Kylemore Abbey. The evening is free to dine at any one of a number of local restaurants only a walk from your hotel. This night is always a popular one in the local pubs.
November 1 We travel south to Bunratty through the Burren area at a relaxing pace to arrive at the Cliffs of Moher for lunch (on your own). Later we check-in at the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis. The grand finale is a the Medieval Banquet at the Bunratty Castle!
November 2 Transfer to the Shannon Airport for return flights to your home city.  There will be one morning transfer provided TBD once all passenger flight information has been received.
