VISA APPLICATION PROCEDURE
You are REQUIRED to get a Brazilian Visa. If you reside in or near one of the following U.S. cities, you can apply for a visa in person at the Brazilian Consulate: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, Boston, Washington DC, Chicago, New York or Houston. More informaton can be found here
Fees and requirements change frequently and visa applications so be sure to check your Consulates website for the most update to date information. Be sure that you plan at least 30 days in advance to avoid extra fees or delays due to the 2016 Rio Olympics. Each Consulate has their own set of procedures so please review the information carefully.
You will need to submit:
- Completed visa application. Please do this electronically HERE. Once you have completed your online visa application you will need to print and sign it.
- Your U.S. passport (with two blank consecutive pages and six months validity)
- Two recent 2X3 color passport photos
- Copy of your roundtrip ticket to Brazil or a print out of the flight itinerary, and a copy of your drivers license. The visa service will give you specific information.
