Since its inception in 1995 by Marathon Tours &amp; Travel, the event has pushed runners to their limits amid Antarctica\u2019s rugged terrain and harsh conditions\u2014all while championing the work of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oceanites.org\/\">Oceanites<\/a>, a nonprofit focused on protecting the continent\u2019s fragile ecosystem.
