Arrive in Sydney and make your way to the Hotel. Our friendly staff will be in the hotel lobby to welcome you and are ready to answer any questions you might have about your stay.
This evening join our exclusive Sydney Marathon Harbour Cruise with runners from all over the world. Enjoy the beauty of the harbour as you look back onto the Sydney skyline. The cruise will include substantial canapes and a drink on arrival.
Saturday 30th August, 2025
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel.
Mid-morning our staff will guide you to the expo for race bib collection.
Enjoy the rest of the day your leisure. Consider booking the BridgeClimb, a hop on hop off pass or even a day tour to experience this wonderful city.
Sunday 31st August, 2025
Marathon Race Day!
Enjoy an early breakfast before meeting our representative in the hotel lobby who will be ready to guide you to the start area.

Event Information

The Sydney Marathon is Australia’s largest running event. Truly a world-class event, it has consistently achieved IAAF Road Race Gold Label status and is an Abbott World Marathon Majors candidate race. The marathon is run on a spectacular course showing off the iconic sights of Sydney.

Race Times:
- The 2025 Start Times are to be confirmed, in 2024 there was a 6:00am Start Time and cut-off time of 6:50am.

- Marathon – 18 years +

- Sydney Marathon – 7 Hours
The 2025 Sydney Marathon Course:
The Sydney Marathon starts across the harbour on Miller St, North Sydney crosses the Sydney Harbour Bridge (Wow!), runs through the iconic Darling Harbour looping through The Rocks out into suburbs. Passing Hyde Park, you’ll take on a long straight up Flinders Street before a single loop of Centennial Park. From here it’s back down to Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair before you finish in front of the Sydney Opera House. Whilst it’s not a completely flat route the marathon is still considered fast and very runner and spectator friendly. The time limit is 7 hours. All the races start and cross over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and finish in front of the Sydney Opera House, except the Fun Run which ends at the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Awards: Everyone who finishes within the time limit will receive a commemorative medal with Sydney Marathon finishers receiving a finishers t-shirt.
Weather: August 31st is the day before the spring season starts in Sydney. Typically, at this time daytime temperatures will range from 16°C – 20°C though at the 2023 event the temperature was between 10-12°C warmer than usual due to a timely heat wave.

As the official travel partner, we are able to offer guaranteed entry into the 2025 TCS Sydney Marathon. You can purchase entry with our packages.
Starting Times and Bib Numbers
Although we are licensed to sell official entries for the 2025 TCS Sydney Marathon, we have no influence over the allocation of starting times and bib numbers.
Closer to the event we will ask for your expected pace and other details to complete the registration process for the Sydney Marathon Festival. The race organisers will allocate you a starting time and bib based on the information you provide.
