This afternoon join the Marathon Tours & Travel team along with runners from all over the world. You’ll enjoy some light refreshments and a drink on arrival.
The rest of the evening is at your leisure, whether you’re preparing for the half tomorrow or want to explore one of Surfers Paradise’s many delicious restaurants, feel free to ask for a recommendation.
Saturday, 6 July - Half Marathon Day

Meals: BreakfastToday is the day for our half-marathon runners! After an early breakfast, make your way to the start line. Our representatives will be in the hotel lobby to provide guidance. Spectators are welcome to join us in the dedicated Marathon Tours & Travel marquee at the finish area, the perfect spot to designate as your meet-up zone to find your family and friends.
This evening is at leisure to celebrate our half-marathon finish or to prep for Sunday’s Marathon. As always we recommend booking somewhere in advance to ensure you can eat at your preferred restaurant.

The 2025 Gold Coast Marathon will take place on Sunday the 6th of July, 2025.
The ASICS Half Marathon takes place the day before on Saturday the 5th July, 2025.

Course:
The marathon course has a reputation as one of the flattest and fastest courses in the world. The course traditionally runs up and back along the coast allowing runners to pass the beautiful beaches from Paradise Point in the north to Burleigh Heads in the south.Over 60% of participants achieve a personal best time each year making it a perfect place to qualify for the BAA Boston Marathon Abbotts World Marathon Major.
