Perfectly positioned for race day, the race start/finish area is a 10 minute walk away. Depending on the length of stay you have booked with us you might arrive before or depart on different days to the following itinerary. Berlin is fascinating with plenty to see and do. The itinerary below reflects the 3 nights package. Adding extra nights is recommended allows you the time to enjoy the city.
Arrival Day, Welcome & Shake-out run
Make your own arrangements to arrive at Intercity Hotel Hauptbahnhof in Berlin today. Usually, hotel rooms are ready to check in after 15:00. If you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage with the hotel and explore your surroundings.
You are free to enjoy the city at your leisure. If you wish to visit the Expo to collect your race registration pack, please do so (instructions will be provided with the final itinerary).
A Marathon Tours & Travel host will be available in your hotel today to meet and answer any questions you might have.
At 17:30 we invite you to join your Marathon Tours & Travel host and your running peers for an easy shake-out run from the hotel. It will acquaint you with the local area and shake-out any travel tiredness. The run will be easy and at a pace comfortable for all fitness levels. Afterwards please join us for a drink, a perfect opportunity to ask questions and get to know your fellow runners.

Expo & Pasta Dinner
This morning at 10:00am we will escort you to the Expo to collect your race registration pack. However, if you wish to make your own way there in your own time, instructions will be provided with the final itinerary. Your race pack must be collected before the registration closes this evening. The rest of the day is at your leisure. The Marathon Tours & Travel team will be happy to suggest some sightseeing options.
Often restaurants are booked up early, but you do not need to worry about finding somewhere to carb-load this evening as you can join the Marathon Tours & Travel host for a delicious and nutritious pre-race pasta dinner at our hotel or a venue close by.

Race Day and Celebrations!
Breakfast will be available early. Those running the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON 2026 will easily be able to walk to the start from Intercity Hotel Hauptbahnhof. Your Marathon Tours & Travel host will be happy to escort runners to the start area or you can follow the directions provided to make your own way, in your own time. From Intercity Hotel Hauptbahnhof, it’s a straightforward 10 minutes walk to the runners only start area (front of the Reichstag). Your bib number provides you with free train travel to the start today (subject to confirmation by race organisers). Please leave plenty of extra time to make your way through the crowds and to drop off your bag (if you chose this option), as well as to find your specific start pen. On arrival at the start please follow the instructions of the race officials, run, and have fun!
Spectators can easily access the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON 2026 route as Intercity Hotel Hauptbahnhof is perfectly positioned for race day and to cheer on the runners.
After the race make your way back to the hotel, freshen up and celebrate…you deserve it!
Tonight, we will gather in the hotel bar for a post-race celebration and drink!

Enter the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON 2026 with Marathon Tours & Travel
A flat, fast half marathon course in the striking city of Berlin, this is a race to set a new half marathon PB! With wide roads, fantastic crowd support, live music and spectacular sights such as the famous Brandenburg Gate to finish, you can be sure Berlin is one of the best cities for running. As a destination Berlin is diverse and exciting with much to offer.
Course: Start and finish in the Tiergarten with Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag as your backdrop. The course is a flat, fast loop of the city.
Race Time: from 10:05am (in 3 waves)
Minimum Pace/Cut-off Time Policy: 3 hours 15 minutes
Eligibility: Marathon Tours & Travel, an authorised tour operator, is required to offer travel arrangements in conjunction with guaranteed race entry. All runners must be born in the year 2009 or earlier to participate in the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON 2026.

Extras: Please note the official GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON 2026 T-Shirt is not included in the entry fee. Merchandise can be pre-purchased at the time of registration or at the Expo. Pre-ordered and pre-purchased event merchandise to be collected at the EXPO with your race materials.
Number Pick up: You must pick up your race bib and packet at the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON Expo prior to race day.

How to book during the pre-booking before package release stage.
To pre-register, click on the book now button, ensuring that you select the correct number of runners. Please read all the important information. If you have any questions please contact us.
Whilst we expect this event to take place on the date shown, the exact date will only be announced later. Do not book any flights until confirmed details are known and we have advised you of the package choices.
How to Book
To make your booking, click on the book now button, ensuring that you select the correct number of rooms and types for all members in your party plus all the required extras. When you book, we will require a deposit to confirm your place.
Payments
When you confirm your booking, we will take a deposit payment. Subsequent payments are taken automatically.

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is an essential part of any holiday you take, and we highly recommend that you purchase suitable insurance for your trip. You must ensure that your travel insurance policy also covers you to participate in running events.
Security Policy
Marathon Tours & Travel’s security policy requires that anyone staying in our room block must be registered as part of our package. If a registered client attempts to house a non-registered guest and /or invite them to attend any of our scheduled activities, the registered guest’s tour package will be forfeited and parties may be denied access to future tours. Please note that no exceptions will be made as this policy will be strictly enforced.
Race Rules
Our itinerary and details regarding the race are based on current information available at the time this package was released for sale. Whilst we expect the details to remain correct, changes are possible and will be confirmed nearer to the trip after the race organisers have confirmed final instructions. All race rules and procedures need to be followed.
Starting Pens and Bib Numbers
Although we are licensed to sell official entries for the 2026 Berlin Half Marathon, we have no influence over the allocation of starting times and bib numbers. After purchasing your race entry with us, you will be sent a link to complete the registrations process. Please do not expect it immediately after booking – it will be sent when Berlin Half Marathon send the links to us. The race organisers will allocate you a starting time and bib based on the information you provide.
