We offer 3 or 4-night packages in Berlin at our lovely hotel located within easy reach of the shopping Mecca of the Ku’damm and central Berlin. Berlin Zoologischer Garten station is only 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel, from which you can access Brandenburg airport by direct train. Perfectly positioned for race day the 2km and 11km spectator areas of the half marathon route are only 10 minutes’ walk away and the race start/finish area is 25 minutes away. We invite you to take part in warm up runs, pasta dinner and celebrations and Marathon Tours & Travel team will be on hand for guidance and support to make your trip a success.

Depending on the length of stay you have booked with us you might arrive before or depart on different days to the following itinerary. Berlin is fascinating with plenty to see and do. The itinerary below reflects the 3 nights package. Adding extra nights is recommended allows you the time to enjoy the city.
Arrival Day, Welcome meeting & Shake-out run.
Make your own arrangements to arrive at Hotel Indigo Ku’damm in Berlin today. Usually, hotel rooms are ready to check in after 3:00pm. If you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage with the hotel and explore your surroundings.
You are free to enjoy the city at your leisure. If you wish to visit the Expo to collect your race registration pack, please do so (instructions will be provided with the final itinerary).
Early this evening Marathon Tours & Travel invite you to join us in the hotel lobby before leaving for an optional run in the local area. It will acquaint you with the local area and shake-out any travel tiredness. The run will be easy and at a pace comfortable for all fitness levels. A perfect opportunity to ask questions and get to know fellow runners.

Saturday 6th April, 2024
Expo & Pasta dinner
This morning we will escort you to the Expo to collect your race registration pack. However, if you wish to make your own way there, in your own time instructions will be provided with the final itinerary. Your race pack must be collected before the registration closes this evening. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Marathon Tours & Travel team will be happy to suggest some sightseeing options.
Tonight, please join us for a pre-race pasta dinner at our hotel or a venue close by.

Sunday 7th April, 2024
Race Day and celebrations!
Breakfast will be available early. Those running the Berlin Half Marathon will easily be able to walk to the start from Hotel Indigo Ku’damm. The race start area is less than 30 minutes, either on foot or combination of train and walking. Your bib number provides you with free train travel to start today (subject to confirmation by race organisers). Please leave plenty of extra time to make your way through the crowds. to drop off your bag (if you chose this option) and to find your specific start pen. On arrival at the start please follow the instructions of the race officials, run, and have fun!
The 2km and 11km spectator areas of the Berlin Half Marathon route are only 10 minutes’ walk away from Hotel Indigo Berlin Ku’damm and the finish area is 25 minutes away. Perfectly positioned for race day and to cheer on the runners.
After the race make your way back to the hotel, freshen up, celebrate…you deserve it!
Tonight, we will gather in the hotel bar for a post-race celebration and drink!

With wide roads, fantastic crowd support, live music and spectacular sights such as the famous Brandenburg Gate to finish you can be sure Berlin is one of the best cities for running. As a destination Berlin is diverse and exciting with much to offer.
Eligibility: Marathon Tours & Travel, an authorised tour operator, is required to offer travel arrangements in conjunction with guaranteed race entry. All runners must be born in the year 2008 or earlier to participate in the Berlin Half Marathon.
Race rules and general race T&C’s apply.
Number Pickup: You must pick up your race bib and packet at the Berlin Half Marathon Expo prior to race day.
Temperature: Average temperatures range between 5C to 10C (40F to 55F).
Awards: Every finisher receives a medal.
Difficulty: Easy
Course: Start and finish in the Tiergarten with Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag as your backdrop. The course is a flat, fast loop of the city.
Race Time: from 10:05am (in 3 waves)
Minimum Pace/Cut-off Time Policy: 3 hours 15 minutes

How to Book
To make your booking, click on the book now button, ensuring that you select the correct number of rooms and types for all members in your party plus all the required extras. When you book, we will require a deposit to confirm your place.
Payments
When you confirm your booking, we will take a deposit payment. Subsequent payments are taken automatically.

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is an essential part of any holiday you take, and we highly recommend that you purchase suitable insurance for your trip. You must ensure that your travel insurance policy also covers you to participate in running events.
Security Policy
Marathon Tours & Travel’s security policy requires that anyone staying in our room block must be registered as part of our package. If a registered client attempts to house a non-registered guest and /or invite them to attend any of our scheduled activities, the registered guest’s tour package will be forfeited and parties may be denied access to future tours. Please note that no exceptions will be made as this policy will be strictly enforced.
Race Rules
Our itinerary and details regarding the race are based on current information available at the time this package was released for sale. Whilst we expect the details to remain correct, changes are possible and will be confirmed nearer to the trip after the race organisers have confirmed final instructions. All race rules and procedures need to be followed.
Starting Pens and Bib Numbers
Although we are licensed to sell official entries for the 2024 Berlin Half Marathon, we have no influence over the allocation of starting times and bib numbers. After purchasing your race entry with us, you will be sent a link to complete the registrations process. Please do not expect it immediately after booking – it will be sent when Berlin Half Marathon send the links to us. The race organisers will allocate you a starting time and bib based on the information you provide.
