This popular Abbott World Marathon Majors (AbbottWMM) race always promises to deliver a grand tour of New York! Starting on Staten Island and finishing in Central Park you will run through each of the five boroughs: Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Manhattan. The 2023 TCS New York City Marathon on Sunday, November 5 was the world’s largest marathon for the year with 51,402 total finishers, and the third largest edition of the race in the event’s history.
Our AbbottWMM Six Star Journey Package is available to anyone who already secured their own entry. This special package includes hotel accommodations for three nights at the Hyatt Centric Times Square, a welcome reception, a pre-race pasta dinner and a transfer by coach bus to the start.

Friday, November 1
Welcome to New York City! Your Marathon Tours & Travel host looks forward to meeting you at our welcome desk this afternoon. Once you check-in to your hotel, the afternoon is yours to enjoy. This evening join us for our Welcome Reception. Details regarding the TCS New York City Marathon Health and Wellness Expo and bib pickup will be shared once available. (Welcome reception included)
Saturday, November 2
We start the day with an optional training shakeout run through Central Park to loosen your legs. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy, maybe some shopping, seeing a Broadway show, or simply relaxing. Our pre-race pasta dinner will begin at 6:00 PM at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel, a close walk from your hotel. (Dinner included)
Sunday, November 3
TCS New York City Marathon Day!
Transfer to the start village and a box breakfast is included in your package. MTT Staff will be in the Hyatt Centric lobby to walk you to the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel. Following the race you will make your way back to your hotel for some well-deserved rest before we gather for a toast at the Sheraton. The evening is free to experience one of the many fine restaurants in the city. (Breakfast to-go box included)

Race Date: Sunday, November 3, 2024
Race Time: There are four wave starts for runners, preceded by professional wheelchair athletes, hand-cycles, and professional elite runners. Wave times will be available closer to the race date.

Organizer: The New York Road Runners (NYRR) is the organizer of the TCS New York City Marathon. For additional details on this event please click here.
Course: The TCS New York City Marathon is a 26.2-mile block party through the world’s most diverse city. It goes through the five boroughs of New York City: Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, The Bronx, and Staten Island.

Temperature: New York City’s average temperature for early November is a low of 42 and a high of 57. Be sure to check the weather forecast before packing to make sure you are prepared.
Course Time Limit: In the interest of safety, and to allow streets and park drives to reopen as scheduled, the race course will remain open to all participants who are able to maintain a 13:45 per-mile pace (based on the time when the last runner crosses the start line).
Number Pickup: You must visit the Health & Wellness Expo to pick up your bib. Details will be posted when available.

Cancellations: All payments, including your deposit, are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Non-transferrable includes applying your balance to another person, another year or another trip. Should you cancel for any reason, you will forfeit your trip investment. Therefore, travel insurance for every trip is highly recommended. All cancellations must be received in writing.
Not included in price: All items not specifically listed under tour features.
Insurance: For your protection, trip cancellation, baggage, health and accident insurance is highly recommended for all participants. However, no representation or description of the insurance made by our staff constitutes a binding assurance or promise about the insurance.
Security Policy: Marathon Tours & Travel’s security policy requires that anyone staying in our room block must be registered as part of our package. If a registered client attempts to house a non-registered guest and /or invite them to attend any of our scheduled activities, the registered guest’s tour package will be forfeited and parties may be denied access to future tours. Please note that no exceptions will be made as this policy will be strictly enforced.
Responsibility: These tours are operated by Marathon Tours, Inc. of Chelsea, MA who acts only as an agent for the passenger to the companies offering such services and assumes no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity caused by any reason whatsoever by any party offering such services. All terms and conditions offered are governed by the laws of Massachusetts. The right is reserved to cancel the tour prior to departure with a refund, less applicable credit card and processing fees, made as full settlement to the passenger. The right is reserved by Marathon Tours, Inc. to deny acceptance of a booking application by any person. Marathon Tours, Inc. may make any changes or alterations in the itinerary as it deems necessary for the proper handling of the tour. The sole responsibility of any airline used is limited to that set out in the passenger contract evidenced by the ticket. The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time that the passengers are not on board their aircraft.
