Sydney is an iconic Australian destination with plenty to see and do. Adding extra nights after the weekend is possible on request, and allows you more time to explore the city.
4 Night Package: Arrival Day & Check-in
Please transfer to your chosen hotel for Check-In today. Usually, hotel rooms are ready to check in after 3pm. If you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage with the hotel and explore your surroundings.
Marathon Tours & Travel hosts will be available at the Hyatt Regency hotel lobby welcome desk, to meet and answer any questions you might have.

Arrive in Sydney and make your way to the Hotel. Our friendly staff will be in the Hyatt Regency hotel lobby, to welcome you and are ready to answer any questions you might have about your stay.
This evening join our exclusive TCS Sydney Marathon Harbour Cruise with runners from all over the world. Enjoy the beauty of the harbour as you look back onto the Sydney skyline. The cruise will include substantial canapes and a drink on arrival.
**4 Night Package Guests Only: A morning Sightseeing Excursion will be included after breakfast, to further explore the hidden gems of Sydney’s Harbour and beachside neighbourhoods.

Expo and Preparation Day
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel.
Mid-morning our staff will guide you to the Sydney Running Show for race bib collection.
Enjoy the rest of the day your leisure. Consider booking the BridgeClimb, a hop on hop off pass or even a day tour to experience this wonderful city.
Tonight join us for a Pre-race Runner dinner at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Spectators on our package are also included for this special event!

Marathon Race Day!
Enjoy an early breakfast before meeting our representative in the hotel lobby who will be ready to guide you to the start area.
After your run, when you are ready make your way back to the hotel.
Later this afternoon, we will host a post-race celebration, bring your medals!

The TCS Sydney Marathon is Australia’s largest running event. Truly a world-class event, it has consistently achieved IAAF Road Race Gold Label status and is an Abbott World Marathon Major. The marathon is run on a spectacular course showing off the iconic sights of Sydney.

- The 2026 Start Times are yet to be confirmed, in 2025 there was a 6:30am Start Time and cut-off time of 7:40am.

The 2026 TCS Sydney Marathon Course – To Be Confirmed (2025 details below)
The 2025 TCS Sydney Marathon started across the harbour on Miller St, North Sydney crosses the Sydney Harbour Bridge (Wow!), runs through the iconic Darling Harbour looping through The Rocks out into suburbs. Passing Hyde Park, you’ll take on a long straight up Flinders Street before a single loop of Centennial Park. From here it’s back down to Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair before you finish in front of the Sydney Opera House. Whilst it’s not a completely flat route the marathon is still considered fast and very runner and spectator friendly. The time limit is 7 hours. All the races start and cross over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and finish in front of the Sydney Opera House, except the Fun Run which ends at the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Awards: Everyone who finishes within the time limit will receive a commemorative medal with TCS Sydney Marathon finishers receiving a finishers t-shirt.
Weather: This event is just before spring season starts in Sydney. Typically, at this time daytime temperatures will range from 16°C – 20°C though at the 2023 event the temperature was between 10-12°C warmer than usual due to a timely heat wave.

Starting Times and Bib Numbers
Although we are licensed to sell official entries for the 2026 TCS Sydney Marathon, we have no influence over the allocation of starting times and bib numbers.
Closer to the event we will ask for your expected pace and other details to complete the registration process for the TCS Sydney Marathon. The race organisers will allocate you a starting time and bib based on the information you provide.
