Thursday 26 August
Arrival Day
Welcome to Sydney! We highly recommend scheduling flights to arrive in the morning today, before 12:00, so you don’t miss out on any activities.
Make your way from the airport to the hotel and check in. Usually, hotel rooms are ready from 15:00, but if you arrive earlier you can leave your luggage at the hotel and explore the surrounding area!
At some point today a representative will be waiting in the lobby to greet you and answer any questions you might have.
This afternoon, around 16:00, we will board a Welcome Harbour Cruise to welcome you to the city!
This evening has been left free for you to enjoy one of Sydney’s many great restaurants, although drinks and snacks will be provided on board the cruise.

Friday 27 August
Half-Day Sightseeing Tour & Expo Visit
Today you will discover Sydney beyond the city centre with a bus tour out to the North Head, providing some of Sydney’s most stunning lookouts and enjoy free time in beautiful Manly before heading to the race Expo for around 14:00.
This evening is free for you to explore and enjoy one of the many restaurants in Sydney!

Saturday 28 August
Shake-Out Run & Pre-Race Dinner
This morning after breakfast join your hosts for a light shake-out run around the local area. This will be at an easy pace and is a chance to loosen your legs. It will be no longer than 5km (approx. 3 miles).
Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.
Consider booking the Bridge Climb, a hop-on hop-off pass or even a day tour to experience more of this wonderful city.
This evening we will enjoy a private pre-race dinner within the Sheraton hotel!

Sunday 29 August
Race Day!
Race day is here! After an early breakfast, make your way to the start line. Our representatives will be in the hotel lobby to provide guidance.
After the race, recharge in the recovery zone before making your own way back to the hotel.
In the evening we’ll meet up for post-race celebrations at the Sheraton, to say cheers to all of our runners on an amazing accomplishment!

Unless you have booked extra nights with us then today is the day you check out of your room and we say thank you for joining us.

The itinerary below reflects the Sydney Marathon Prestige Package.
Upon arrival at Sydney International Airport (SYD), you will be met and transferred to the luxurious Capella Sydney, a hidden luxury in the historic Sandstone Precinct.
In the evening, join your MTT hosts and fellow travellers for a sunset cruise, welcoming you to “The Harbour City.”

Following breakfast, embark on a guided tour to discover Sydney’s iconic charm. This curated experience offers a refined introduction to the city’s vibrant culture, stunning views, and rich heritage, perfect for acquainting yourself with Australia’s most cosmopolitan destination.

Race Day! After an early breakfast, runners will be transferred to the starting line of the TCS Sydney Marathon. Your day unfolds along a scenic course showcasing Sydney’s most iconic landmarks and breath taking coastal views. Whether you’re running or cheering from the side-lines, soak up the electric race-day atmosphere and the incredible community spirit that fills the city.
In the evening, celebrate your achievement with fellow runners and supporters at our Post-Race Reception held at a nearby restaurant. Enjoy a selection of canapés and a complimentary drink as we toast your accomplishment!

Marathon Tours & Travel’s policy is that anyone staying in our room block must be part of our package. If you plan to bring a spouse or guest, they must purchase our package. For example, if there are two of you, the rate would be the double occupancy rate (per person). If you purchase a single occupancy rate package, then only you are allowed in your room. To attend any of our activities, you must be part of our package.

Enter the 2027 TCS Sydney Marathon with Marathon Tours & Travel
Experience the TCS Sydney Marathon 2027 with us! Our package takes care of you so you can enjoy the event, sightseeing and make the most of this spectacular destination ‘down under’.
The Course
The TCS Sydney Marathon 2027 will start across the harbour at Milsons Point, crosses the Sydney Harbour Bridge, runs through the city streets, out to the green parks in the suburbs and back to finish in front of the Sydney Opera House. Whilst it’s not a completely flat route the marathon is still considered fast and very runner and spectator friendly. The time limit for this marathon is 7 hours. All the races start and cross over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and finish in front of the Sydney Opera House, except the Fun Run which ends at the Royal Botanic Gardens. Weather: The end of August will see Sydney entering its spring season. Runners should prepare for all weather conditions though typically at this time, daily high temperatures will range from 15°C – 20°C.

We highly recommend you book flights which ensure you get into Sydney before 12:00 on Thursday 26th August. Our Harbour Cruise will depart at around 16:00 that day and we would hate for anyone to miss out!

Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend travellers to take out comprehensive travel insurance with sufficient healthcare cover. Make sure that you are insured for existing medical conditions, any activities you plan to do and any equipment that you plan to take. Starting Times and Bib Numbers
Although we are licensed to sell official entries for the 2027 TCS Sydney Marathon, we have no influence over the allocation of starting times and bib numbers.
Closer to the event we will ask for your expected pace and other details to complete the registration process for the TCS Sydney Marathon. The race organisers will allocate you a starting time and bib based on the information you provide.
