The Copenhagen Half Marathon 2027 is widely regarded as one of the fastest and best-organised half marathons in the world, attracting elite athletes and recreational runners alike. Held in Denmark’s vibrant capital, the race is known for its flat, fast course that winds through some of Copenhagen’s most iconic districts, including Østerbro, Nørrebro, Vesterbro and Frederiksberg.

As part of the prestigious SuperHalfs series, the Copenhagen Half Marathon also gives runners the opportunity to work towards completing one of Europe’s premier half marathon collections. Renowned for its excellent organisation, strong international field and electric support, it’s a must-do race for runners looking to combine performance with an incredible city experience.

Arrival Day, Welcome & Shake-out Run.
Make your own arrangements to arrive in Copenhagen today. Usually, hotel rooms are ready to check in after 15:00. If you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage with the hotel and explore your surroundings.
You are free to enjoy the city at your leisure. If you wish to visit the Expo to collect your race registration pack, please do so (instructions will be provided with the final itinerary).
Marathon Tours & Travel hosts will be available in your hotel today to meet and answer any questions you might have.
This evening we invite you to join your Marathon Tours & Travel host and your running peers for an easy shake-out run from the hotel. It will acquaint you with the local area and shake-out any travel tiredness. The run will be easy and at a pace comfortable for all fitness levels. Afterwards please join us for a drink; a perfect opportunity to ask questions and get to know your fellow runners.

Expo & Pasta Dinner
Today we will escort you to the Expo to collect your race registration pack. However, if you wish to make your own way there in your own time, instructions will be provided with the final itinerary. Your race pack must be collected before the registration prior to race day. The rest of the day is at your leisure. The Marathon Tours & Travel team will be happy to suggest some sightseeing options.
Often restaurants are booked up early, but you do not need to worry about finding somewhere to carb-load this evening as you can join your Marathon Tours & Travel host for a delicious and nutritious pre-race pasta dinner at our hotel or a venue close by.

Race Day and Celebrations!
Breakfast will be available early. Your Marathon Tours & Travel host will be happy to escort runners to the start area or you can follow the directions provided to make your own way, in your own time. Please leave plenty of extra time to make your way through the crowds as well as to find your specific start pen. On arrival at the start please follow the instructions of the race officials, run and have fun!
After the race make your way back to the hotel, freshen up and celebrate…you deserve it!
Tonight, we will gather in the hotel bar for a post-race celebration and drink!

Enter the Copenhagen Half Marathon 2027 with Marathon Tours & Travel
Recognised as one of the world’s most prestigious half marathons, this event holds the World Athletics Elite Label and is part of the acclaimed SuperHalfs series across Europe. The course winds through the heart of historic Copenhagen, offering an unforgettable atmosphere. Run alongside the stars of world athletics and chase your next personal best.
Course: Start & finish at Fælledparken. The course is a flat, fast loop of the city.
Race Time: from 09:45am
Minimum Pace/Cut-off Time Policy: 3 hours
Eligibility: Marathon Tours & Travel, an authorised tour operator, is required to offer travel arrangements in conjunction with guaranteed race entry. All runners must be born in the year 2009 or earlier to participate in the Copenhagen Half Marathon 2027.

Number Pick up: You must pick up your race bib and packet at the Copenhagen Half Marathon Expo prior to race day.
Temperature: Average temperatures range between 11C to 18C (49F to 65F).
Awards: Every finisher receives a medal.

Travel advice

Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend travellers to take out comprehensive travel insurance with sufficient healthcare cover. Make sure that you are insured for existing medical conditions, any activities you plan to do and any equipment that you plan to take. Security Policy
Marathon Tours & Travel’s security policy requires that anyone staying in our room block must be registered as part of our package. If a registered client attempts to house a non-registered guest and/or invite them to attend any of our scheduled activities, the registered guest’s tour package will be forfeited and parties may be denied access to future tours. Please note that no exceptions will be made as this policy will be strictly enforced.
Race Rules
Our itinerary and details regarding the race are based on current information available at the time this package was released for sale. Whilst we expect the details to remain correct, changes are possible and will be confirmed nearer to the trip after the race organisers have confirmed final instructions. All race rules and procedures need to be followed.
Starting Pens and Bib Numbers
Although we are licensed to sell official entries for the Copenhagen Half Marathon 2027, we have no influence over the allocation of starting times and bib numbers. After purchasing your race entry with us, you will be sent a link to complete the registrations process. Please do not expect it immediately after booking – it will be sent when Copenhagen Half Marathon send the links to us. The race organisers will allocate you a starting time and bib based on the information you provide.
