Welcome to Manchester! Make your own arrangements to arrive at your hotel in Manchester. Hotel rooms are usually ready after 15:00 if you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage with the hotel concierge and explore the city and surrounds.
The rest of the day is yours to enjoy. Manchester has everything from museums and gorgeous galleries to pretty parks and gardens. Throughout its iconic districts and neighbourhoods are awe-inspiring works of architecture and dazzling bits of street art, not to mention the shops, theatres, cinemas and nightclubs.

We invite you to join Marathon Tours & Travel for an easy shake-out run from the hotel this morning. It will acquaint you with the local area, visit the marathon start/finish area and shake-out any travel tiredness. The run will be no more than 5km, easy and at a pace comfortable for all fitness levels. It’s a perfect opportunity to ask questions and get to know your fellow runners! Following that, our host will be available at the welcome desk from 09:00.
The rest of the day is yours to enjoy. Manchester has everything from museums and gorgeous galleries to pretty parks and gardens. Throughout its iconic districts and neighbourhoods are awe-inspiring works of architecture and dazzling bits of street art, not to mention the shops, theatres, cinemas and nightclubs.

Our team will be happy to escort runners to the start area or you can follow the directions provided to make your own way, in your own time. The easiest way to travel to the adidas Manchester Marathon 2026 is to use the city’s tram and train system.
After the race make your way back to the hotel, freshen up, celebrate…you deserve it!

Enter the adidas Manchester Marathon 2026 with Marathon Tours & Travel
We are very pleased to offer you guaranteed entry into the adidas Manchester Marathon 2026.
The Course
The course is 26.2 miles of true Manchester vibe! Runners begin their journey under the Trafford arch before heading out on closed roads to the city centre, where they will then wind their way back through Greater Manchester. Runners will pass the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ Old Trafford Stadium, home of Manchester United Football Club, before winding through the suburbs of Greater Manchester and South Manchester and eventually returning back to Trafford. The course is lined with enthusiastic supporters and bands, DJ’s and choirs pumping out classic Mancunian anthems. *2026 course subject to change.*
Race Time: from 09:00am in waves
Minimum Pace/Cut-off Time Policy: The finish line closes 6 hours after the last person crosses the start line.
Eligibility: Marathon Tours & Travel is required to offer travel arrangements in conjunction with guaranteed race entry. All runners must be 18 years or older on race day to be eligible for our guaranteed entries.
Temperature: Average temperatures range between 7C to 15C (45F to 60F). 2024 weather conditions were favourable, with low wind and cloud coverage broken by intermittent sunshine.
Awards: Every finisher receives a T-Shirt & Medal.

Our itinerary and details regarding the race are based on current information available at the time this package was released for sale. Whilst we expect the details to remain correct, changes are possible and will be confirmed nearer to the trip after the race organisers have confirmed final instructions. Starting Pens and Bib Numbers
Although we are licensed to sell official entries for the adidas Manchester Marathon 2026, we have no influence over the allocation of starting times and bib numbers.
Closer to the event we will send you a link which will allow you to complete the registration process for the event. Once you have finalised the registration process, the race organisers will allocate you a starting time and bib based on the information provided. Please read the race rules and terms for participation carefully, as you have to accept them to participate in the event.
Security Policy
Marathon Tours & Travel’s security policy requires that anyone staying in our room block must be registered as part of our package. If a registered client attempts to house a non-registered guest and/or invite them to attend any of our scheduled activities, the registered guest’s tour package will be forfeited and parties may be denied access to future tours. Please note that no exceptions will be made as this policy will be strictly enforced.
