Arrival Day, Welcome Get Together & Shake-out Run.
Make your own arrangements to arrive in Madrid today. Usually, hotel rooms are ready to check in after 15:00. If you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage with the hotel and explore your surroundings.
You are free to enjoy the city at your leisure. If you wish to visit the Expo to collect your race registration pack, please do so (instructions will be provided with the final itinerary).
Marathon Tours & Travel hosts will be available in your hotel today to meet and answer any questions you might have.
This evening we invite you to join your Marathon Tours & Travel host and your running peers for an easy shake-out run from the hotel. It will acquaint you with the local area and shake-out any travel tiredness. The run will be easy and at a pace comfortable for all fitness levels. Afterwards please join us for a drink; a perfect opportunity to ask questions and get to know your fellow runners.

Expo & Pasta Dinner
Today we will escort you to the Expo to collect your race registration pack. However, if you wish to make your own way there in your own time, instructions will be provided with the final itinerary. Your race pack must be collected before the registration prior to race day. The rest of the day is at your leisure. The Marathon Tours & Travel team will be happy to suggest some sightseeing options.
Often restaurants are booked up early, but you do not need to worry about finding somewhere to carb-load this evening as you can join your Marathon Tours & Travel host for a delicious and nutritious pre-race pasta dinner at our hotel or a venue close by.

Race Day & Post-Race Celebrations!
Breakfast will be available early. Your Marathon Tours & Travel host will be happy to escort runners to the start area or you can follow the directions provided to make your own way, in your own time. Please leave plenty of extra time to make your way through the crowds as well as to find your specific start pen. On arrival at the start please follow the instructions of the race officials, run and have fun!
After the race make your way back to the hotel, freshen up and celebrate…you deserve it!
Tonight, we will gather for a post-race celebration and drink!

Enter the Zurich Rock ’n’ Roll Madrid Marathon 2027 with Marathon Tours & Travel
The Zurich Rock ’n’ Roll Madrid Marathon 2027 offers the biggest running party in the country. You will also experience a unique festive atmosphere where thousands of spectators take to the streets on the day of the event to encourage the participants and to feel part of this great celebration. In addition to having an incredibly beautiful and touristic course through the heart of Madrid, the Zurich Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Madrid is an authentic running party, with more than 30 entertainment stages and stations located along the course. You will rock like never before!
Recognised as one of the liveliest marathons, this event holds the World Athletics Elite Label and is part of the acclaimed European Marathon Classics series across Europe. The course winds through the heart of the Spanish capital, offering an unforgettable atmosphere. Run alongside the stars of world athletics and chase your next personal best.
Course: Start at Paseo de la Castellana (Juan de la Cruz Square) and finish at Paseo de Recoletos (Prado Museum). Madrid offers a rolling course that tours both the city’s historic streets and modern financial districts.
Race Time: 08:45am
Minimum Pace/Cut-off Time Policy: 6 hours
Eligibility: Marathon Tours & Travel, an authorised tour operator, is required to offer travel arrangements in conjunction with guaranteed race entry. All runners must be born in the year 2009 or earlier to participate in the Madrid Marathon 2027.

Number Pick up: You must pick up your race bib at the Zurich Rock ’n’ Roll Madrid Marathon Expo prior to race day.

Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend travellers to take out comprehensive travel insurance with sufficient healthcare cover. Make sure that you are insured for existing medical conditions, any activities you plan to do and any equipment that you plan to take. Security Policy
Marathon Tours & Travel’s security policy requires that anyone staying in our room block must be registered as part of our package. If a registered client attempts to house a non-registered guest and/or invite them to attend any of our scheduled activities, the registered guest’s tour package will be forfeited and parties may be denied access to future tours. Please note that no exceptions will be made as this policy will be strictly enforced.
Race Rules
Our itinerary and details regarding the race are based on current information available at the time this package was released for sale. Whilst we expect the details to remain correct, changes are possible and will be confirmed nearer to the trip after the race organisers have confirmed final instructions. All race rules and procedures need to be followed.
Starting Pens and Bib Numbers
Although we are licensed to sell official entries for the Zurich Rock ’n’ Roll Madrid Marathon 2027, we have no influence over the allocation of starting times and bib numbers. After purchasing your race entry with us, you will be sent a link to complete the registrations process. Please do not expect it immediately after booking – it will be sent when Madrid Marathon send the links to us. The race organisers will allocate you a starting time and bib based on the information you provide.
