The adidas Stockholm Marathon takes you through the streets of a beautiful European capital built on 14 islands. The Stockholm Marathon course offers spectacular views of a unique city with varied scenery, including beautiful views of nature and an impeccably preserved medieval city centre. The route offers a scenic, city centre 2-loop designed to showcase the best of the Swedish capital, blending historic streets, waterfront views and lively neighbourhoods passing across multiple islands and districts.
The Stockholm Marathon takes runners on a 42.195 km journey through the heart of Stockholm, often referred to as the “Venice of the North.” The course spans multiple islands connected by picturesque bridges, offering views of historic landmarks, waterfronts and green parks. Highlights include passing through the medieval Old Town (Gamla Stan), running alongside the Royal Palace and finishing inside the Olympic Stadium, an experience that makes the Stockholm Marathon especially memorable.

Arrival Day, Welcome Get Together & Shake-out Run.
Make your own arrangements to arrive in Stockholm today. Usually, hotel rooms are ready to check in after 15:00. If you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage with the hotel and explore your surroundings.
You are free to enjoy the city at your leisure. If you wish to visit the Expo to collect your race registration pack, please do so (instructions will be provided with the final itinerary).
Marathon Tours & Travel hosts will be available in your hotel today to meet and answer any questions you might have.
This evening we invite you to join your Marathon Tours & Travel host and your running peers for an easy shake-out run from the hotel. It will acquaint you with the local area and shake-out any travel tiredness. The run will be easy and at a pace comfortable for all fitness levels. Afterwards please join us for a drink; a perfect opportunity to ask questions and get to know your fellow runners.

Expo & Pasta Dinner
Today we will escort you to the Expo to collect your Stockholm Marathon registration pack. However, if you wish to make your own way there in your own time, instructions will be provided with the final itinerary. Your race pack must be collected before the registration prior to race day. The rest of the day is at your leisure. The Marathon Tours & Travel team will be happy to suggest some sightseeing options.
Often restaurants are booked up early, but you do not need to worry about finding somewhere to carb-load this evening as you can join your Marathon Tours & Travel host for a delicious and nutritious pre-race pasta dinner at our hotel or a venue close by.

Race Day and Post-Race Celebrations!
Breakfast will be available early. Your Marathon Tours & Travel host will be happy to escort runners to the start area or you can follow the directions provided to make your own way, in your own time. Please leave plenty of extra time to make your way through the crowds as well as to find your specific start pen. On arrival at the start please follow the instructions of the race officials, run and have fun!
After the race make your way back to the hotel, freshen up and celebrate…you deserve it!
Tonight, we will gather for a post-race celebration and drink!

Enter the adidas Stockholm Marathon 2027 with Marathon Tours & Travel!
The adidas Stockholm Marathon course is a rolling scenic 42.2 km route that weaves through the city’s central islands, combining historic streets, waterfront views and green parkland. Runners pass many of Stockholm’s most iconic landmarks, including Gamla Stan (Old Town), the Royal Palace and Djurgården park, while crossing multiple bridges that connect the city. The race finishes with a memorable lap inside the historic Olympic Stadium, offering a unique and uplifting end to the course.
Course: Start and finish at the famous Stockholm Olympic Stadium
Race Time: 12:00pm
Minimum Pace/Cut-off Time Policy: 6.5 hours
Eligibility: Marathon Tours & Travel, an authorised tour operator, is required to offer travel arrangements in conjunction with guaranteed race entry. All runners must be born in the year 2009 or earlier to participate in the adidas Stockholm Marathon 2027.

Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend travellers to take out comprehensive travel insurance with sufficient healthcare cover. Make sure that you are insured for existing medical conditions, any activities you plan to do and any equipment that you plan to take. Security Policy
Marathon Tours & Travel’s security policy requires that anyone staying in our room block must be registered as part of our package. If a registered client attempts to house a non-registered guest and/or invite them to attend any of our scheduled activities, the registered guest’s tour package will be forfeited and parties may be denied access to future tours. Please note that no exceptions will be made as this policy will be strictly enforced.
Race Rules
Our itinerary and details regarding the race are based on current information available at the time this package was released for sale. Whilst we expect the details to remain correct, changes are possible and will be confirmed nearer to the trip after the race organisers have confirmed final instructions. All race rules and procedures need to be followed.
Starting Pens and Bib Numbers
Although we are licensed to sell official entries for the adidas Stockholm Marathon 2027, we have no influence over the allocation of starting times and bib numbers. After purchasing your race entry with us, you will be sent a link to complete the registrations process. Please do not expect it immediately after booking – it will be sent when adidas Stockholm Marathon send the links to us. The race organisers will allocate you a starting time and bib based on the information you provide.
