MARATHON TOURS & TRAVEL ANNOUNCED AS OFFICIAL PARTNER OF THE 2025 SHANGHAI MARATHON

• Marathon Tours & Travel confirmed as Official International Tour Operator for the 2025 Shanghai Marathon

15 April 2025, London/Shanghai – The Shanghai Marathon has today announced Marathon Tours & Travel as the Official International Tour Operator for the 2025 Shanghai Marathon, taking place on Sunday 30 November 2025.

The partnership will see Marathon Tours & Travel work in tandem with international travel companies to offer a range of travel options for international runners who have already secured their entry in this year’s Shanghai Marathon. 

The partnership between Marathon Tours & Travel and the Shanghai Marathon comes as the marathon embarks on its debut year as an Abbott World Marathon Major candidacy race. Marathon Tours & Travel will market travel packages directly to participants as well as help them, along with their friends, family and supporters, source seamless travel options to Shanghai from around the world ahead of Marathon Day, along with accommodation options that allows for easy access to the Start and Finish of the Shanghai Marathon.

Marathon Tours & Travel now offers a 4-night package staying at deluxe accommodation, located close to the race start at the Bund and the heart of the city center. Curated packages cater for runners and their supporters including invitations to take part in activities such as a welcome briefing, a half-day guided orientation tour of Shanghai including the Shanghai Tower and Yu Garden, a lunch at a local restaurant, a visit to the Expo to pick-up your race number, a warm-up run, pre-race dinner, post-race celebration dinner and drinks. Marathon Tours and Travel’s bilingual team will be on hand for guidance and support to help make everyone’s trip a fun, enjoyable and successful time. There is also the option to add a 3-night post-race extension to your stay to discover Hong Kong.
