This isn’t your typical half marathon! Runners will embark on a journey that showcases not only London’s iconic landmarks but also its quirky secrets and lesser-known stories, making it a race like no other. London Landmarks Half Marathon (LLHM) takes place on Sunday 6 April 2025, offering a unique running experience through the heart of the capital. As the only half marathon that winds through both the City of London and the City of Westminster, this closed-road event is a true celebration of the city’s history, culture, and hidden gems. Organised by the baby charity Tommy’s, the event has raised over £50 million for various good causes since its inception in 2018.

Depending on the length of stay you have booked with us you might arrive on Friday 4 April or Saturday 5 April and depart on either Sunday 6 April or Monday 7 April (or later if you decide to add extra nights on to explore the area)
London has plenty to offer when it comes to things to see and do. Our accommodation is in the heart of London, in close proximity to Regent’s Park Station or Victoria Station and gives you access to central London sights and good transport links to the start and finish of the half marathon.
Race Day
The London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 starts by Pall Mall and finishes near to Downing Street. The event starts at around 09:20am; runners will start after this time in specific waves, as to avoid congestion at the beginning of the race.
How to get there
We recommend travelling to the start and back from the finish on foot or by using public transport. We strongly discourage driving to the event due to the extensive road closures which will be operating along the route. Please refer to the London Landmarks Website for more information on how to get there.
The start of the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 is located near Pall Mall, easily accessible via the London Underground. The closest stations include Charing Cross, Piccadilly Circus, and Green Park. If you’re arriving by rail, nearby stations like Waterloo and London Victoria also provide convenient access.
Please note that we do not recommend spectators gather at the Start Line, as it can be very crowded with limited views. Instead, we suggest heading to the city centre for the best vantage points and to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere with thousands of other spectators.

Arrival Day, Welcome Meeting & Shake-Out Run
Welcome to London! Please make your own arrangements to arrive at your centrally located hotel. Hotel rooms are typically ready after 15:00pm, but if you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage with the hotel concierge and explore the city at your leisure.

Your hotel will be centrally located, not far from the race start at Pall Mall. While we’re finalising the details, rest assured it will be a high-quality accommodation, ensuring a comfortable stay with all the amenities you need.
Marathon Tours & Travel staff will be available at the hotel today to greet you and answer any questions you may have.
At 17:30pm, we invite you to join your Marathon Tours & Travel host and fellow runners for an easy shake-out run from the hotel. This light run will help you get familiar with the area and ease any travel fatigue. The pace will be gentle and suitable for all fitness levels. Afterwards, please join us for a drink—this is a great chance to ask any last-minute questions and get to know your fellow runners.

Pre-Race Dinner
The day is yours to enjoy. London has a wealth of attractions, from historic landmarks and world-class museums to beautiful parks and vibrant markets. Whether you’re keen to explore the iconic sights or discover hidden gems, the Marathon Tours & Travel team will be happy to offer suggestions.
If you’re an international runner or haven’t received your race bib by post, please collect it today. The bib collection venue will be in central London, conveniently accessible from your hotel. Details will be provided closer to the time.
In the evening, there’s no need to search for the perfect carb-loading spot—we’ve got you covered. Join us for a delicious pre-race pasta dinner at the hotel or a nearby venue.

Race Day and Celebrations!
Race day has arrived! Breakfast will be available early to ensure you’re well-fuelled.
The LLHM is a unique race, offering runners the chance to run through the heart of London, passing some of the city’s most famous landmarks. The start and finish lines are located at Pall Mall, a short distance from your hotel. Marathon Tours & Travel staff will be on hand to assist with any last-minute logistics.
After the race, return to the hotel to freshen up and celebrate your achievement—you’ve earned it!
In the evening, we’ll gather in the hotel bar for a post-race celebration drink, toasting a successful race.

Security Policy
Marathon Tours & Travel’s security policy requires that anyone staying in our room block must be registered as part of our package. If a registered client attempts to house a non-registered guest and/or invite them to attend any of our scheduled activities, the registered guest’s tour package will be forfeited and parties may be denied access to future tours. Please note that no exceptions will be made as this policy will be strictly enforced.
