Renowned as one of the best sports training facilities in Eastern Europe, X-Bionic Sphere is home to The Championship (Challenge triathlon) and regularly hosts National Olympic teams preparing for upcoming competition. Located just 200 metres from the Danube River, this huge facility offers a plethora of sports facilities, ideal for sports teams, clubs and group training camps.
Sports on offer include running and athletics, with a full 8-lane running track and stadium as well as a warm-up 4-lane track; triathlon and a fully-equipped professional gym with strength and cardio sections and Cybex, Technogym and Kenesis equipment; cycling, with a selection of local routes and for winter training; a specially set up Wahoo training room with KICKR Smart V5 and KICKR Headwind Smart fans; swimming, with a 50m Olympic outdoor pool (open in the summer), a 25m indoor pool as well as recreational pools. There is even a solarium, a cryosauna and a full service wellness area with a choice of saunas, three whirlpools, a cooling pool, a tepidarium, salt cave a herbal steam room.
This sports training facility has its own accommodation blocks and is perfect for group training camps for clubs. We can tailor a training programme with professional coaches to suit your needs – whether you’re looking to improve your fitness to participate in your first marathon or you’re trying to find a way to beat your half marathon, ultra or triathlon PB. There is also the option to rent a variety of different types of bikes if you want to incorporate this into your training programme.
The rooms at X-Bionic Sphere are housed in 5 blocks and the 282 rooms and 12 luxury penthouse apartments offer comfortable accommodation, some of which have views over the Danube. The spacious rooms have excellent amenities including air-conditioning and complimentary Wi-Fi and offer rooms with up to 4 people sharing. The hotel provides full board during a stay here and the Olym-Pick restaurant is geared towards high-performing athletes in training, so they are able to provide low-carb, high-carb, high-protein, low-fat, vegetarian, gluten-free or high-fibre meals depending on your training and nutritional needs.

Itinerary
It’s totally up to you what you include in your training camp schedule. Please let us know and we can put together a bespoke weekend or week-long trip that includes coaching, rides and fitness as well as any other sports you want to fit in during your down time. In addition there are gym & spa facilities and recreational swimming pools at X-Bionic Sphere. If you want to add in horse riding, golf or motorsports driving we can add these elements in as well.
Explore the local vicinity with options for horse riding, golf and motorsport. Alternatively, head further afield to visit Slovakia’s capital city, Bratislava or even Vienna. Bratislava Castle, Hrad Devin, the Old Town and the Presidential Palace are all worth a visit. For something “out of this world” there is the Most SNP – a UFO shaped observation tower.
