Fancy running a marathon and drinking wine at the same time? Join us on Saturday 4 September 2027 for the 41st edition of Marathon du Médoc, where thousands of wine-loving runners will once again make their way through the vineyards north of Bordeaux. With a different fancy dress theme each year, the 2027 theme is “Conquering the World!”. Marathon du Médoc is an incredible event that truly has to be experienced to be believed!
We offer 3 and 4 night stay to the Marathon du Medoc, with plenty to see and do for both runners and spectators.

Friday 3 September 2027
Arrival Day and Evening Dinner at Château Castera in Saint-Germain-d’Esteui
Arrival in Bordeaux, please make your own way to your hotel. Check-in is from 16:00.
In the evening, we’ll gather at the picturesque Chateau Fourcas Dupré for a special pre-race dinner, hosted under a beautifully decorated marquee. Doors open at 18:30, with live music and entertainment throughout the evening, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display at 22:15.
Saturday 4 September 2027
Race Day
After an early breakfast, runners will be collected by coach and transferred to Pauillac in time for the marathon start at 09:30. Spectators are welcome to join, but transfers are not included and will need to be added if they wish to travel to the start. Pauillac offers plenty of activities and entertainment along the riverbank for spectators.
After the marathon, our coach will bring runners and any spectators with pre-booked transfers back to our hotel in Bordeaux. The evening is then free for you to enjoy dinner at your leisure in the city.

Enjoy a free day to explore at your own pace or join us for an unforgettable walk and lunch!
For a truly memorable experience, take part in our guided vineyard walk at Chateau Fourcas Dupré. This scenic 8–9 km route winds through picturesque vineyards and includes several wine-tasting stops along the way.
After the walk, relax and indulge in a leisurely lunch with fine wine under a marquee at the château. The celebration begins at 12:00 pm and continues until 3:30, complete with a dance floor for those who want to keep the energy flowing. (Optional add on)

Marathon du Medoc 2027 with Marathon Tours & Travel
On Saturday 4 September 2027, thousands of wine loving runners will again make their way through the vineyards north of Bordeaux for the Marathon du Medoc 2027. Fancy dress is a must and every year there is different theme. Entries for the Marathon du Medoc 2027 are expected to go on general sale in March but they tend to sell out very quickly so guarantee your participation instead with Marathon Tours & Travel ahead of that time.
Race Start Time: 09:30
Temperature: Average temperatures range between 15°C to 30°C with low humidity.
Medical Certificate:
Because you are registered for a sports competition, you must provide an attestation (paper, electronic or QR Code type) indicating that you have completed the Health Prevention Course (or “PPS”) set up by the FFA via its dedicated platform. To be valid, the PPS must have been completed no earlier than three months before the date of the event for which the person wishes to register, that is after June 4, 2027.Course Time Limit: There is a 6.5 hour time limit.
Number Pickup: Your race packet will be distributed to your hotel.
Eligibility: All runners must be at least 21 years of age on race day.

Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend travellers to take out comprehensive travel insurance with sufficient healthcare cover. Make sure that you are insured for existing medical conditions, any activities you plan to do and any equipment that you plan to take. Guaranteed Entry
We are pleased to offer you guaranteed entry for the 2027 Marathon du Medoc. You can buy the entry at an additional cost if you also buy the accommodation package with us.
Starting Times and Bib Numbers
Although we are licensed to sell official entries for the 2027 Marathon du Medoc, we have no influence over the allocation of starting times and bib numbers.
Closer to the event we will send you a link which will allow you to complete the registration process for the Marathon du Medoc 2027. Once you have finalised the registration process, the race organisers will allocate you a starting time and bib based on the information you provide.
All race rules must be followed.
Minimum Age
To take part in the event, you must be at least twenty one (21) years old on race day.
Medical Certificate
To participate in the Médoc Marathon, runners must be born on or before 4 September 2007 (minimum age 20).
As this is a sporting event, all participants are required to provide proof of completing the Health Prevention Course (“PPS”), issued through the official FFA platform. This certification can be presented in paper, electronic, or QR code format. To be valid, the PPS must be completed within three months of the event date, meaning after 4 June 2027.
