Medical certificate no longer required for the Paris Marathon and Paris Half Marathon!

After the success of the 2024 Paris Olympics, here at Marathon Tours & Travel we’ve seen a big surge in interest in both the 2026 Paris Half Marathon (HOKA Semi de Paris – Sunday 8 March 2026) and the 2026 Paris Marathon (Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris – Sunday 12 April 2026).

Participants no longer need to complete a medical certificate to take part in each race, which was previously a requirement for these events.

This will remove a barrier to participation for some runners, who found the previous requirement both costly and a hassle to get a medical certificate.

The medical certificate is being replaced with an online questionnaire called ‘the Health Prevention Course (HPC)’ which does not take long to complete and can be done online at no cost. Once completed this form still needs to be uploaded to the runner’s registration portal called ‘TimeTo’. More information can be found here: Health certificate (schneiderelectricparismarathon.com)
