Seven Continents Club® members will get the opportunity to check off both their Half and Full Oceania Marathons in one journey. Wednesday, August 19
Arrive in Adelaide (ADL) and transfer on your own to the Pullman Adelaide Hotel. This afternoon you will have some free time to explore Adelaide before our group meeting at the hotel in the evening.
Thursday, August 20
The Barossa Valley is one of Australia’s top wine regions that is known for its shiraz and grenache vines. Today we will taste our way through some of the region’s local vineyards and enjoy lunch at one of their local wineries. (Breakfast and Lunch included)
Friday, August 21
After breakfast we make our way to the ferry terminal at Cape Jervis (approx. 90 min). Upon arrival to Kangaroo Island, we will visit Dudley Wines for a pizza lunch, whilst enjoying stunning views back onto the mainland. After lunch we will make our way to the Ozone Hotel. This evening we will enjoy a two-course dinner at the hotel (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included)
Saturday, August 22
Today we will get the chance to explore some of Kangaroo Island’s iconic sights, Remarkable Rocks, Admirals Arch and some local businesses. Part of the tour will provide you with a chance to see Sunday’s race route through Flinders Chase National Park! Tonight, join us for our pre-race dinner at the hotel. (Breakfast and Dinner included)
Sunday, August 23
Race Day! This morning you will be transferred to the starting line of the Kangaroo Island Marathon in Flinders Chase National Park (approx. 80 minutes). Return transfers will be provided at the conclusion of the race. This evening the group will gather for a post-race reception to celebrate your accomplishments! (Breakfast included)
Monday, August 24
We will say goodbye to Kangaroo Island and head back to Adelaide. On our way we will stop to enjoy a private wine tasting at Chalk Hill Wines followed by a Gin tasting and lunch at Never Never Distillery. Upon arrival in Adelaide, you will have the evening at your leisure. (Breakfast and Lunch included)
Tuesday, August 25
Today we will head into the Adelaide Hills, starting with a visit to Cleland Wildlife Park where you can get up close and hand feed many of the native animals. We will return to Adelaide via a quick stop at Mount Lofty look out for some panoramic views over the Adelaide plains, the rest of day is at leisure to explore Adelaide City. This evening, we will enjoy our group farewell dinner. (Breakfast and Dinner included)
Wednesday, August 26
After breakfast we will transfer to the Adelaide Airport for our flight to Sydney. Once you arrive to Sydney and check-in at the InterContinental Sydney the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure – explore Sydney’s iconic sights, browse its vibrant shopping districts, or simply soak in the energy of this dynamic city. (Breakfast included)
Thursday, August 27
Enjoy a memorable half-day panoramic sightseeing tour of Sydney. You’ll explore the historic Rocks district, take in stunning views of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, and visit the world-famous Bondi Beach.
We recommend visiting the Sydney Running Show today to collect your race kit. Afterwards, take time to wander through Sydney’s unique neighborhoods and soak up the local culture, shopping, and attractions. (Breakfast included)

2-Hour Sydney Harbour Cruise (Morning or Afternoon) – Set sail on a two-hour Sydney Harbour cruise, gliding past iconic landmarks like the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Enjoy panoramic views, gentle sea breezes, and a relaxing perspective of the city from the water. Select from a 10AM or 1PM departure. Blue Mountains Full Day Tour – Explore one of the seven national parks that make up the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. Your guide will take you off the beaten track to visit remote lookout locations and discuss the history, flora and fauna of this magnificent region. The day begins with early access to Calmsley Hill, a working farm home to Kangaroo’s, Emu’s, Wombat and Koala’s. The tour will continue with stops at Wentworth Falls, Jamison Creek, and Eaglehawk Lookout, before guests set off on a self-guided hike (~2 hours) along the top of the Grose Valley. Sunday, August 30
Race Day! This morning, MTT hosts will be in the hotel lobby to provide guidance to the start line. All runners will use complimentary public transportation to reach the starting area. Your hotel is conveniently located approximately 800 meters from the finish line, making for an easy walk back after the race.
In the evening, celebrate your achievement with fellow runners and supporters at our Post-Race Reception held at a nearby restaurant. Enjoy a selection of canapés and one (1) complimentary drink as we toast your accomplishment!

Tuesday, September 1
This morning, walk from your hotel to the port to embark on a full-day cruise to the breathtaking Agincourt Ribbon Reefs. You’ll visit three unique reef sites selected from an exclusive range of locations, offering over five hours of exploration. Enjoy unlimited snorkeling, with options for up to three certified dives or introductory diving experiences (additional cost applies).
At the end of your reef adventure, return to the hotel to relax and reflect on an unforgettable day.

After breakfast, meet your guide for a full-day tour of the local area. Your day begins with a guided walk through the serene Cattana Wetlands, complete with morning tea. From Barron Falls, continue to Kuranda—the renowned village nestled in the rainforest. Enjoy free time to browse the heritage markets, have lunch at your leisure, and explore local attractions. This morning, enjoy a group transfer from your Sydney hotel to Sydney International Airport for your flight to Uluru, previously known as Ayers Rock. Upon arrival you will be transferred to Sails in the Dessert hotel at Ayers Rock Resort. You will have the afternoon to relax and get acquainted at the resort before the Wintjiri Wiru – Sunset Dinner & Show. Take in a stunning sunset with views out to both Uluru & Kata Tjuta while enjoying a cocktail and canapes. As darkness falls, drones, lights, traditional music, and Pitjantjatjara language will bring to life the Mala story under the desert sky. (Breakfast included)
Tuesday, September 1
The day will start bright and early with the Uluru and Kuniya sunrise walk. From the Uluru sunrise viewing area you’ll see the horizon change hue even before the first rays of sunlight break through. Uluru sits in an endless sea of red dunes that provide a stark contrast against the blue sky. The tour will carry on to Mutitjulu Waterhole and showcase a variety of ancient Aboriginal rock art, desert flora and wildlife and the Indigenous history of this sacred site before concluding at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Culture Centre. This morning, you’ll have the opportunity to join one of the following optional tours available (additional cost):
Camel to Sunrise* – Begin your day with a one-hour camel ride through the desert, taking in the changing colors of the landscape as the sun rises over Uluru and Kata Tjuta. After the ride, return to the camel farm to enjoy light refreshments and browse the camel museum and gift shop. $ 130.00 per person.

15-Minute Helicopter Rock Blast – Launch off on a rock blasting adventure and take in the sights of Ayers Rock Resort and surrounding desert landscape as you make your way towards Uluru by helicopter. Enjoy a panoramic view of the breathtaking scenery unique to the Red Centre. $ 140.00 per person
In the afternoon, travel to the awe-inspiring 36 domes of Kata Tjuta. Hobbiton Day Tour: Your tour starts with a private coach journey from the hotel to Hobbiton based in the Waikato region. Airfare:
Aussie Challenge Package: International flights should be booked to arrive at Adelaide Airport (ADL) on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Your flight home can depart on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at any time that is convenient for you.
Great Barrier Reef Extension: Guests on the post-race extension to the Great Barrier Reef should book your return flight on Saturday, September 5 from Cairns (CNS) to your home airport.
Uluru Extension: Guests on the post-race extension to Uluru should book return flights on Friday, September 4 from Sydney Airport (SYD) departing after 9:00PM.

Kangaroo Island Marathon Event Information:
Race Date: Sunday August 23, 2026
Race Time: Marathon 7:30am. Half Marathon 8:00am*
*Half marathon runners must report by 7:00am sharp. Buses depart to the Remarkable Rocks (start line) at 7:15am.
Course: The course route carves its way through the heart of a shutdown Flinders Chase National Park. Runners are inspired by post-bushfire regenerating flora and fauna, undulating roads and trails, an exposed coastal section with views of the powerful Southern Ocean and a boardwalk leading to the iconic Remarkable Rocks. The race format encourages a spirit of camaraderie amongst runners as they pass by each other throughout the day.
Temperature: The weather in Kangaroo Island is mild with an average temperature between 50-65°F.
Entry Fee: We can provide entry to the Marathon or Half Marathon at a special rate when you book a package through Marathon Tours & Travel.
Time Limit: The course time limit is seven (7) hours.
Difficulty: Challenging course with rolling hills and beautiful scenery.

Course:Introduced in 2001, the inaugural Sydney Marathon followed the same course as the marathon during the 2000 Summer Olympics the previous year. The 2025 marathon course incorporated changes to enhance the experience to make it “a faster, more scenic and spectator friendly course”. Immerse yourself in one of the world’s most scenic marathon courses, taking in some of Sydney’s most spectacular and historic landmarks, including the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Entry Fee: TCS Sydney Marathon – $440
Eligibility: TCS Sydney Marathon – 18 years +
Time Limit: Seven (7) Hours.
Awards: Marathoners who finish their running event within the time limit will receive a commemorative medal and also receive a finishers t-shirt.
Temperature: September is the beginning of the spring season in Sydney. Daytime temperatures will range from 60°F – 68°F (16°C – 20°C). You will want to be prepared for some potential chilly westerly winds and chance of rain.

Registration & Booking

Rates: All prices are based on current exchange rates and may change due to currency fluctuations. All payments to Marathon Tours & Travel will be processed in US Dollars.
Reservation and Payments: A completed tour application together with a non-refundable deposit of $1200 per person must be received before confirming your reservation. Final payment must be received before June 1, 2026. Final payments received after June 1, 2026 are subject to a $50 late payment fee. Bookings made after June 1, 2026 will require full payment at time of booking.
Cancellations: All payments, including your deposit, are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Non-transferrable includes applying your balance to another person, another year or another trip. Should you cancel for any reason, you will forfeit your trip investment. Therefore, travel insurance for every trip is highly recommended. All cancellations must be received in writing.
Note Included in the Price: All items not specifically listed under tour features. The race entry fee is an additional cost to the package price.

Travel Insurance for Canadian ResidentsSecurity Policy: Marathon Tours & Travel’s security policy requires that anyone staying in our room block must be registered as part of our package. If a registered client attempts to house a non-registered guest and /or invite them to attend any of our scheduled activities, the registered guest’s tour package will be forfeited and parties may be denied access to future tours. Please note that no exceptions will be made as this policy will be strictly enforced.
Responsibility: These tours are operated by Marathon Tours, Inc. of Chelsea, MA who acts only as an agent for the passenger to the companies offering such services and assumes no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity caused by any reason whatsoever by any party offering such services. All terms and conditions offered are governed by the laws of Massachusetts. The right is reserved to cancel the tour prior to departure with a refund, less applicable credit card and processing fees, made as full settlement to the passenger. The right is reserved by Marathon Tours, Inc. to deny acceptance of a booking application by any person. Marathon Tours, Inc. may make any changes or alterations in the itinerary as it deems necessary for the proper handling of the tour. The sole responsibility of any airline used is limited to that set out in the passenger contract evidenced by the ticket. The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time that the passengers are not on board their aircraft.

Ann joined the Marathon Tours & Travel team after spending five years working as Group Sales Manager for a domestic tour operator specializing in train travel. She has now been a member of the team for eight years and hopes to continue to expand her knowledge of the world. Since her seventh grade world geography class, she has had an interest in learning about all the world has to offer.
During her time majoring in geography at the University of New Hampshire, her love of travel really kicked into high gear after spending a semester abroad in Australia. Let’s just say it was love at first flight! She has completed several half-marathons, 10K and 5K’s around the globe and in her local community.
Ann currently manages trips to Bhutan, Dragon Challenge, Comrades Ultra Marathon, Rio de Janeiro, Big Five, the Australian Outback, Sydney, Cape Town, Dublin and Patagonia in addition to being an Oceania Cruise Line Specialist.
