The TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon is one of Canada’s premier running events, offering Marathon, Half-Marathon, and 5K distances through the heart of vibrant downtown Toronto. This scenic and energetic race takes runners on a tour of the city’s diverse neighborhoods and iconic waterfront. With crisp autumn weather and an electric race day atmosphere, it’s a great time to experience Toronto!Â
Marathon Tours & Travel offers a three-night package based at the Marriott Downtown at Toronto Eaton Centre, a comfortable and centrally located hotel that puts you steps from top attractions—and conveniently within walking distance of the race start and finish, making race day effortless. Extra nights may also be added to extend your stay. Â
As part of our itinerary, you’ll enjoy thoughtfully planned activities designed to enhance your race weekend. Arrive in Toronto and transfer on your own to the Marriott Downtown at Toronto Eaton Centre. The Marathon Expo will be open from 10:00am-8:00pm today so head to the Better Living Centre to pick up your bib, race kit, and race day necessities!Â
Join your fellow Marathon Tours & Travel runners and supporters for a Welcome Reception in the evening.Â
Saturday, October 17
Today is race day for the Toronto 5K! After this, you are free to explore Toronto on your own. It will also be the last day to visit the Marathon Expo and pick up your race bib – make your way to the Better Living Centre between 10:00am-6:00pm to ensure you have all you need for race day.
In the evening, join your MTT team for a pre-race pasta dinner to fuel up for race day. (Breakfast and dinner included)Â

Monday, October 12
This tour begins in Chicago following Bank of America Chicago Marathon weekend. Please make your way to Chicago O’Hare International Airport for your midday flight to Buffalo International Airport. An MTT rep will be on-site to meet the and check our group into the flight. Upon arrival, we will have a private transfer to the Marriott on the Falls hotel. The rest of your day is on your own. (Breakfast included)

Tuesday, October 13
After breakfast, join us for the iconic Maid of the Mist Niagara Falls boat tour. This afternoon will be on your own. Tonight, join us for a farewell dinner overlooking Niagara Falls. (breakfast and dinner included)

Marathon (42.2 km)Â
The Marathon features a 42K course through downtown Toronto and along the waterfront, showcasing more than a dozen neighborhoods and scenic lakefront views. The course is predominantly flat, making it a strong option for fast times and personal bests.Â
Start Line:Â Yonge St. near Elm St., facing northbound
Finish Line:Â Bay St. just north of Queen St., near Nathan Phillips SquareÂHalf-Marathon (21.1 km)Â
The Half-Marathon follows the same energetic fall atmosphere and uses segments of the waterfront and downtown Toronto corridors. It is also designed to be flat and fast, offering an approachable course for runners of all levels.Â
5KÂ
Held the day before the Marathon and Half Marathon, the 5K is a lively, accessible race through downtown Toronto. It serves as a community friendly kickoff to race weekend.

Registration & Booking

Rates: All prices are based on current exchange rates and may change due to currency fluctuations. All payments to Marathon Tours & Travel will be processed in USD.Â
Reservations and Payments: A completed tour application together with a deposit of 30% of the package price plus 100% of the race entry price must be received before confirming your reservation. The second installment of 30% will be automatically charged to the card on file on April 17, 2026. The final balance will be automatically charged to the card on file on July 17, 2026. Payments received after July 17, 2026 are subject to a $50 per person late fee.Â
Cancellations: All payments, including your deposit, are non-refundable and non-transferrable.  Non-transferrable includes applying your balance to another person, another year or another trip. Should you cancel for any reason, you will forfeit your trip investment. Therefore, travel insurance for every trip is highly recommended. All cancellations must be received in writing. Entry fees are non-refundable.Â
Not included in price: All items not specifically listed under tour features. Entry fee is additional. Airfare from your originating city to Toronto.Â
Insurance: For your protection, trip cancellation, baggage, health and accident insurance is highly recommended for all participants.  However, no representation or description of the insurance made by our staff constitutes a binding assurance or promise about the insurance.Â
Travel Insurance for U.S. Residents
Travel Insurance for Canadian ResidentsÂSecurity Policy: Marathon Tours & Travel’s security policy requires that anyone staying in our room block must be registered as part of our package. If a registered client attempts to house a non-registered guest and /or invite them to attend any of our scheduled activities, the registered guest’s tour package will be forfeited and parties may be denied access to future tours. Please note that no exceptions will be made as this policy will be strictly enforced.Â
Responsibility: These tours are operated by Marathon Tours, Inc. of Chelsea, MA who acts only as an agent for the passenger to the companies offering such services and assumes no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity caused by any reason whatsoever by any party offering such services. All terms and conditions offered are governed by the laws of Massachusetts. The right is reserved to cancel the tour prior to departure with a refund, less applicable credit card and processing fees, made as full settlement to the passenger. The right is reserved by Marathon Tours, Inc. to deny acceptance of a booking application by any person. Marathon Tours, Inc. may make any changes or alterations in the itinerary as it deems necessary for the proper handling of the tour. The sole responsibility of any airline used is limited to that set out in the passenger contract evidenced by the ticket. The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time that the passengers are not on board their aircraft.Â

Kait joined Marathon Tours & Travel after five years of working in education, three of which were at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her experience planning and leading study trips in China, Greece, Morocco, and the UK has fueled her passion for travel and cultural exploration. Living in Asia has encouraged Kait to both read about and run in new countries! She has completed eight marathons and half-marathons and earned her first Star in Tokyo in March 2025. As a shamelessly chatty runner, Kait loves making connections at the starting line.
