A flat, fast half-marathon course in the striking city of Berlin! This is a race to set a new half-marathon personal best. With wide roads, fantastic crowd support, live music, and spectacular sights such as the famous Brandenburg Gate, you will see why Berlin is one of the best cities for running. As a destination, Berlin is diverse and exciting with much to offer.
We offer a three-night package in Berlin at our lovely hotel located within easy walking distance of the shopping Mecca of the Ku’damm and central Berlin. Berlin Zoologischer Garten Station is only a five-minute walk from the hotel, from which you can access Brandenburg Airport by direct train. Perfectly positioned for race day, the 2K and 11K spectator areas of the half-marathon route are only a 10-minute walk away, and the race start/finish area is 25-minutes away. We invite you to take part in shakeout runs, our pasta dinner, and race celebration.

Friday, April 4
Make your own arrangements to arrive at Hotel Indigo Ku’damm in Berlin today. Usually, hotel rooms are ready to check in after 3:00pm. If you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage with the hotel and explore your surroundings. You are free to enjoy the city at your leisure. If you wish to visit the Expo to collect your race registration pack, please do so (instructions will be provided with the final itinerary). Marathon Tours & Travel host will be available in your hotel today to meet and answer any questions you might have.
At 5.30pm we invite you to join your Marathon Tours & Travel host and your running peers for an easy shake-out run from the hotel. It will acquaint you with the local area and shake-out any travel tiredness. The run will be easy and at a pace comfortable for all fitness levels. Afterwards please join us for a drink, a perfect opportunity to ask questions and get to know your fellow runners.
Saturday, April 5
This morning at 10:00am we will escort you to the Expo to collect your race registration pack. However, if you wish to make your own way there in your own time, instructions will be provided with the final itinerary. Your race pack must be collected before the registration closes this evening. The rest of the day is at your leisure. The Marathon Tours & Travel team will be happy to suggest some sightseeing options.
Often restaurants are booked up early, but you do not need to worry about finding somewhere to carb-load this evening as you join the Marathon Tours & Travel host for a delicious and nutritious pre-race pasta dinner at our hotel or a venue close by.

Sunday, April 6
Breakfast will be available early. Those running the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON will easily be able to walk to the start from Hotel Indigo Ku’damm. Your Marathon Tours & Travel host will be happy to escort runners to the start area or you can follow the directions provided to make your own way, in your own time. The race start area is less than 30 minutes away, either on foot or via a combination of train and walking. Your bib number provides you with free train travel to the start today (subject to confirmation by race organizers). Please leave plenty of extra time to make your way through the crowds and to drop off your bag (if you chose this option), as well as to find your specific start pen. On arrival to the start please follow the instructions of the race officials, run, and have fun!
The 2km and 11km spectator areas of the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON route are only 10 minutes’ walk away from Hotel Indigo Berlin Ku’damm and the finish area is 25 minutes away. Perfectly positioned for race day and to cheer on the runners.
After the race make your way back to the hotel, freshen up, and celebrate…you deserve it! Tonight, we will gather in the hotel bar for a post-race celebration and drink!

Race Date: April 6, 2025
Start Time: From 10:05 AM (three waves)
Entry: We are pleased to offer guaranteed entry into the Berlin Half-Marathon.
Course: The start and finish is in Tiergarten with Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag as your backdrop. The course is a flat, fast loop of the city.
Minimum Pace/Cut-off Time Policy: 3 hours 15 minutes
Temperature: Average temperatures range between 5C to 10C (40F to 55F).
Number Pickup: You must pick up your race bib and packet at the Berlin Half-Marathon Expo prior to race day.
Awards: Every finisher receives a medal.

Registration & Booking

Rates: All prices are based on current exchange rates and may change due to currency fluctuations.
Eligibility: Marathon Tours & Travel, an authorized tour operator, is required to offer travel arrangements in conjunction with guaranteed race entry. All runners must be born in the year 2008 or earlier to participate in the Berlin Half-Marathon. Race rules and general race T&C’s apply.
Reservations and Payments: A completed tour application together with a non-refundable deposit of $200.00 per person must be received before confirming your reservations. Final payment must be received before January 1, 2025. Final payments received after January 1, 2025 will be charged a $50.00 late payment fee.
Cancellations: All payments, including your deposit, are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Non-transferrable includes applying your balance to another person, another year or another trip. Should you cancel for any reason, you will forfeit your trip investment. Therefore, travel insurance for every trip is highly recommended. All cancellations must be received in writing.
Not included in price: All items not specifically listed under tour features.
Insurance: For your protection, trip cancellation, baggage, health and accident insurance is highly recommended for all participants. However, no representation or description of the insurance made by our staff constitutes a binding assurance or promise about the insurance.

Travel Insurance for Canadian ResidentsSecurity Policy: Marathon Tours & Travel’s security policy requires that anyone staying in our room block must be registered as part of our package. If a registered client attempts to house a non-registered guest and /or invite them to attend any of our scheduled activities, the registered guest’s tour package will be forfeited and parties may be denied access to future tours. Please note that no exceptions will be made as this policy will be strictly enforced.
Responsibility: These tours are operated by Marathon Tours, Inc. of Chelsea, MA who acts only as an agent for the passenger to the companies offering such services and assumes no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity caused by any reason whatsoever by any party offering such services. All terms and conditions offered are governed by the laws of Massachusetts. The right is reserved to cancel the tour prior to departure with a refund, less applicable credit card and processing fees, made as full settlement to the passenger. The right is reserved by Marathon Tours, Inc. to deny acceptance of a booking application by any person. Marathon Tours, Inc. may make any changes or alterations in the itinerary as it deems necessary for the proper handling of the tour. The sole responsibility of any airline used is limited to that set out in the passenger contract evidenced by the ticket. Nicole joined us in 2011 with eight years of professional experience in international and domestic group travel and flight management. From middle school age, she has had the travel bug and loved being on the road and exploring new places.
With a year abroad and sometimes intentionally getting lost on a quaint cobblestone pathway in Belgium or Germany, it was the true history and beauty that struck a chord within her that keeps her travel passion still alive. Nicole currently manages marathon trips to Berlin, Rome, Reykjavik and Tokyo and also serves as Administration Manager.
