The Nice-Cannes Marathon 2026, also known as the French Riviera Marathon, is the second biggest marathon in France after the Paris Marathon.
The French Riviera Marathon offers a wonderful journey along the Cote d’Azur between Nice and Cannes. The event takes place on Sunday 8 November 2026 and there are several distances available during the event weekend. The French Riviera Marathon was voted the World’s Most Beautiful Tourist Marathon’ by Forbes Travel Guide in 2018. The event offers exceptional views, from the palm trees of Nice’s Promenade des Anglais to the finish line in front of the steps of the legendary Palais des Festivals which is the home of the famous annual Cannes film festival. The French Riviera Marathon is a qualifier race for the Marathon Tours & Travel Age Group World Championships.
Marathon Tours & Travel offer guaranteed entry with a choice of distances; Marathon, 20km, Half Marathon Relay or Marathon Relay.
The best thing is that all event distances start and finish close to a train station. Public transport is free to use for all participants on race day.

Nice is easy to get to from across the world. Nice Cote d’Azur airport is located on the seafront at the far side of the Promenade des Anglais. The airport offers a convenient.
Nice and the Cote d’Azur are fascinating with plenty to see and do. The itinerary below reflects the 3 nights package. Adding extra nights is recommended and allows you more time to explore the city.
Arrival day, welcome drink
Your stay will begin at Hotel Lakmi, where hotel rooms are ready to check in after 14:00pm. If you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage with the hotel and explore your surroundings. Marathon Tours & Travel hosts will be available in your hotel today to meet and answer any questions you might have. This evening, join us for a drink; a perfect opportunity to ask questions and get to know your fellow runners.

The Breakfast Run is an established tradition the day before the marathon, attracting 200–300 participants for a relaxed shakeout run on the Promenade des Anglais.

- 09:00 – Breakfast Run starts
- 10:00 – Post‑run coffee & stretching
Last Chance Bib Pickup
Bib collection continues for all events (marathon, relay, duo, 20km).

Pre-race breakfast available early. There is easy access to the Nice Cannes Marathon 2026 start area from our hotel (approximately 10 minutes’ walk away from the hotel)
All running formats begin simultaneously at 08:00 from the Promenade des Anglais.

- 20 km Nice → Villeneuve‑Loubet
- Marathon Relay (3–6 runners)
- Official relay legs: 8.7 km / 3 km / 5.2 km / 8.1 km / 10.8 km / 6.4 km
- Duo 2×21.1 km (half‑marathon relay)

- Relay team runners depart via TER trains to their handover points

Starting Times and Bib Numbers: Although we are licensed to sell official entries for the Nice – Cannes Marathon 2026, we have no influence over the allocation of starting times and bib numbers.
Closer to the event we will send you a link which will allow you to complete the registration process. Once you have finalised the registration process, the race organisers will allocate you a starting time and bib based on the information provided.

Time Limits: The course time limit is six hours from the last participant crossing the start line.
Eligibility & Participation Conditions: To take part in this event, the participant must have been born in 2007 or earlier for the 2026 edition.
Medical Certification/Health Prevention Course Form: To take part in this event, in order to receive your race number, you will be required to produce either a medical certificate or the health prevention course form. We have outlined both options below:

Health Prevention Course Form: Runners must download and complete the Health Prevention Course within 3 months of the race date. You can download the Health Prevention Course here. Once completed, you will receive a certificate in PDF format, and you must upload it to your TIME TO account.

How to book after package options are released
Our team will contact you, advise packages choices with prices and invite you to booking a specific package. At this stage you will need to select the correct number of rooms and types for all members in your party plus all the required extras. When you book, we will require a further deposit.
Payments
When you confirm your booking, we will take a deposit payment. Subsequent payments are taken automatically.

Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend travellers to take out comprehensive travel insurance with sufficient healthcare cover. Make sure that you are insured for existing medical conditions, any activities you plan to do and any equipment that you plan to take. Security Policy
Marathon Tours & Travel’s security policy requires that anyone staying in our room block must be registered as part of our package. If a registered client attempts to house a non-registered guest and/or invite them to attend any of our scheduled activities, the registered guest’s tour package will be forfeited, and parties may be denied access to future tours. Please note that no exceptions will be made as this policy will be strictly enforced.
Eligibility
To take part in this event, the participant must have been born in 2006 or earlier. Therefore participants must be aged at least 20 years old on 31 December 2025.
Medical Certification/Health Prevention Course Form
