Join us for the 51st Anniversary of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon! This event is a World Athletics Platinum Label Road Race, renowned for being one of the fastest courses in the world. Highlights of the course include the start and finish in the Olympic Stadium, the passage through the Rijksmuseum and along the Heineken Experience, stretches along the Amstel and through the Vondelpark. The Mizuno Half-Marathon & 7.5K will take place the same day. 

Marathon Tours & Travel can offer you guaranteed entry including marathon entries for both Zone A and Zone B, book early and get your preferred start area! 

Amsterdam has so much to offer such as museums, canals, cobbled streets and quaint cafes to wine and dine. Getting around is easy by foot, bicycle, train, bus or tram. It is also known as one of the safest cities in Europe! 

Our 2026 Amsterdam Marathon packages include a conveniently located hotel with breakfast for 4 nights. We also offer entry into all distances plus various opportunities to meet with fellow runners. Amsterdam South train station is only 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel, from which you can access Schiphol airport by direct train in 6 minutes. Perfectly positioned for race day, the race start/finish area is 30 minutes away. We invite you to take part in warm-up runs, pasta dinner and celebrations; Marathon Tours & Travel team will be on hand for guidance and support to make your trip a success.

      Arrival and check-in at the 4* Crowne Plaza Amsterdam South. Later this evening, join us for a welcome drink. Unwind and connect with fellow participants and their guests during our welcome reception, first drink on us!

      Following breakfast there will be an optional bike tour (additional $115)! Discover Amsterdam’s countryside on a memorable 2.5-hour eBike adventure – ideal for travelers short on time who want to experience the Netherlands beyond the city. Cycle through the serene Waterland region, a picturesque setting of open fields, grazing livestock, historic farmhouses, and iconic Dutch canals. Capture stunning views and immerse yourself in authentic local charm along the way.  

      In the early evening, we will have an escorted trip to the Marathon Expo. Collect your race kit and soak in the pre-race atmosphere!

      It’s the 7.5K Race Day! For those participating (optional to add in to your booking with us), the start venue is outside the Olympic Stadium and is easily accessible in 15 minutes by a combination of train and walking or 25 minutes walking. Have fun! 

      If you are not running the 7.5K, Marathon Tours & Travel invite you to join us in the hotel lobby at 7:45am for a shakeout run.  

      Later in the morning, we will discover the stories and events that shaped the city’s distinctive character on walking tour. Explore the charm of ‘old Amsterdam,’ trace the legacy of the VOC, and uncover the city’s progressive past. As we wander along some of Amsterdam’s 100km of picturesque canals, we’ll reveal hidden gems and share the remarkable story of Anne Frank. 

      In the afternoon, enjoy the ultimate Amsterdam Canal Cruise where sightseeing meets exceptional hospitality. Sail past the city’s most iconic landmarks while our friendly and knowledgeable hosts will share captivating stories about Amsterdam’s rich history as you take in the stunning views. Perfect for friends, couples, families, and solo travelers alike, this cruise offers the ideal combination of cultural discovery and relaxed socializing along Amsterdam’s legendary waterways. 

      Tonight is our pre-race pasta dinner! This is included in your package and will ensure an excellent buffet pasta meal and drink in the company of your fellow runners.

      The Crowne Plaza Amsterdam South hotel is located in a lovely area, surrounded by restaurants and pretty streets and only 5 minutes walk from Amsterdam South train station, which allows easy access to all areas of the city. Schiphol Airport can be reached by direct train from Amsterdam South in only 6 minutes. The hotel has free high-speed WiFi throughout, a gym, bar, restaurant and serves a delicious breakfast buffet. 

      Check-in from 3:00pm and check out up to 12:00pm (noon). 

      Our rooms are superior and feature either a king bed or 2 single beds (Twin). A mini-fridge, TV, safe, air conditioning, coffee/tea-making facilities and a hair dryer are also at your disposal.

    • Enter the Amsterdam Marathon 2026 with Marathon Tours & Travel 

      A flat, fast marathon course in the beautiful city of Amsterdam, this is definitely a race to talk to your running club about! Looking to set a new PB? What better place to do it than against the wonderous backdrop of Amsterdam? 

      There’s no need to stress about travel on race day, our hotel is within walking distance to the race start and finish and you’ll also be invited to take part in warm up runs, join the international pasta party and pick your distance; Marathon, Half Marathon or 7.5K! Whichever distance you choose, our team will be on hand for guidance and support to make your trip a success.

      We are very pleased to offer guaranteed entry into the TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2026. Entry for the Half Marathon and 7.5K are also available (official race t-shirt available as an extra price) Remember, we also offer marathon entries for both Zone A and Zone B; book early and get your preferred start area! 

      Bib Pickup: You must pick up your race bib and packet at the International Marathon Expo prior to race day. 

      Temperature: Average temperatures on race day are around 55°F. 

      Difficulty: Easy. A flat and fast course.  

      The Marathon 

      Course: Starting and finishing at the Olympic Stadium, the marathon course is fast, flat and leads runners through the sights and sounds of Amsterdam. 

      Race Time: 9:00am – 9:50am 

      Minimum Pace/Cut-off Time Policy: 

      The time limit for the Marathon is 6 hours. The finish in the Olympic Stadium closes at 5:00pm. The following km-points should be reached at: 

      • 5km – 10:12am 
      • 10km – 10:54am 
      • 15km – 11:36am 
      • 20km – 12:19pm 
      • 25km – 1:01pm 
      • 42.195km – 5:00pm 

      Runners who are reached by the sweeper vehicle, based on the passing-time table, and will therefore certainly exceed the time limit will be called upon by a member of the jury to leave the race and, for reasons of safety, get into the broom wagon. Should you decide to continue the race, despite the request of the jury member, you do so at your own risk. Remember, the course will be opened to traffic again once the broom wagon has passed. The water points and medical care points will also be removed, and it will no longer be possible to end in the Olympic Stadium. If you are removed from the race, you will not be eligible for a medal. 

      Awards: Every finisher receives a medal. 

      The Half-Marathon 

      Course: Starting and finishing at the Olympic Stadium, the half marathon is the biggest in the Netherlands and consists of one loop, most of which passes through the center of Amsterdam. The course is fast, flat and leads runners through the sights and sounds of Amsterdam. 

      Race Time: 1:20pm – 1:50pm 

      Minimum Pace/Cut-off Time Policy: The time limit for the half marathon is 3 hours. 

      Awards: Every finisher receives a medal. 

      The 7.5k 

      Course: Starting and finishing at the Olympic Stadium, the 7.5k is part of the marathon course. You can expect to pass the Rijksmuseum, Vondelpark before finishing at the Olympic Stadium in front of the grandstand. 

      Race Time: 2:00pm Saturday, October 17. 

      Minimum Pace/Cut-off Time Policy: The time limit for the 7.5k is 1 hour. 

      Awards: Every finisher receives a medal. 

  • Registration & Booking

    • Rates: All prices are based on current exchange rates and may change due to currency fluctuations. 

      Eligibility: Marathon Tours & Travel, an authorized tour operator, is required to offer travel arrangements in conjunction with guaranteed race entry. All runners must be 18 years or older to participate in the marathon or half marathon and 14 years or older on race day to participate in the 7.5k. 

      Race Rules apply. 

      Reservations and Payments: When you confirm your booking, we will take a 30% deposit payment. Subsequent payments are taken automatically on May 3, June 14, and July 26, 2026.  

      Cancellations: All payments, including your deposit, are non-refundable and non-transferrable.  Non-transferrable includes applying your balance to another person, another year or another trip. Should you cancel for any reason, you will forfeit your trip investment. Therefore, travel insurance for every trip is highly recommended. All cancellations must be received in writing. 

      Not included in price: All items not specifically listed under tour features. 

      Insurance: For your protection, trip cancellation, baggage, health and accident insurance is highly recommended for all participants. However, no representation or description of the insurance made by our staff constitutes a binding assurance or promise about the insurance.

      Security Policy: Marathon Tours & Travel’s security policy requires that anyone staying in our room block must be registered as part of our package. If a registered client attempts to house a non-registered guest and /or invite them to attend any of our scheduled activities, the registered guest’s tour package will be forfeited and parties may be denied access to future tours. Please note that no exceptions will be made as this policy will be strictly enforced. 

      Responsibility: These tours are operated by Marathon Tours, Inc. of Chelsea, MA who acts only as an agent for the passenger to the companies offering such services and assumes no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity caused by any reason whatsoever by any party offering such services. All terms and conditions offered are governed by the laws of Massachusetts. The right is reserved to cancel the tour prior to departure with a refund, less applicable credit card and processing fees, made as full settlement to the passenger. The right is reserved by Marathon Tours, Inc. to deny acceptance of a booking application by any person. Marathon Tours, Inc. may make any changes or alterations in the itinerary as it deems necessary for the proper handling of the tour. The sole responsibility of any airline used is limited to that set out in the passenger contract evidenced by the ticket. The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time that the passengers are not on board their aircraft.

    • This event is an Abbott World Marathon Majors Marathon Tours & Travel Age Group World Championship (AGWC) Qualifying Race. If you achieve the automatic qualifying time for your age group, found here, you’ll be invited to the 2028 Age Group World Championship Race.
